Before we know it Mother’s Day will be here! We can’t forget mom on her special day! Today I have a Mother’s Day card to share with you that features paper piercing. Mom will think it took you a long time to make this card. She will be so impressed with the details and will definitely feel the love!
Paper Piercing takes your card or project to the next level. It is a technique that is super easy and pretty fast too! The Stampin’ Up! paper piercing templates really make it easy. You will need the following supplies for paper piercing:
A paper piercer – basically something sharp like a needle or thumb tack. Stampin’ Up! has a paper piercer tool that I use all the time. It great for making a hole for brads too. It comes in a great little storage tube as well.
Something to protect your work station – you don’t want to put little holes on your work top. Some sort of foam mat does the trick; check out the mat that Stampin’ Up! offers (an old computer mouse pad would work too)
Paper piercing templates – of course you could totally paper pierce freehand but templates make it so much easier! They help you ensure your spacing will be just right. Check out the Stampin’ Up! templates by clicking here. I used the Essentials Pack for the straight lines and the Festive Pack for the die-cut label (Labels Framelits).
To create the above card you will need the following supplies:
Ink: Basic Gray, Pretty in Pink, Wisteria Wonder
Card Stock: Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder, Pretty in Pink
Big Shot and dies: Labels Framelits
