I love to scrapbook and paper craft. Looking back I think I have always had some sort of scrapbook. I have always enjoyed taking photos of family and friends. In high school I remember keeping a scrapbook with movie stubs, notes, and other mementos using those old style photo albums that you pealed back the plastic cover sheets.
So in 2006 when I received a blank 12x12 scrapbook as a gift I shouldn’t have been too surprised. With that blank scrapbook, my new obsession started. I love to scrapbook. I find it relaxing and a creative outlet. There is something about using scissors and glue that brings me back to childhood. It provides me an outlet from the day to day activities as a stay at home mom. Aside from creating scrapbooks for my kids, I have created many scrapbooks as gifts including recipe scrapbooks, baby books, and Christmas scrapbooks. Actually my mother-in-law and 3 nieces look forward to their annual scrapbook gifts every Christmas! This year I finally started making a scrapbook just for me! Recently I started paper crafting digitally and I am finding I really enjoy that as well.
Today I look at myself as the family historian, the memory keeper, and family photographer – preserving memories for my 3 children and future generations. In the fall of 2010, I became a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator. This new adventure allows me to share my love for paper crafting and scrapbooking with so many people. I really enjoy helping others preserve their memories.
On my blog you will find a variety of paper crafting projects from handmade and digital cards to home decor projects to scrapbooking ideas and inspiration. I would love to share my obsession with you and help you find your inner crafty side!
Happy scrapping!
Jessica
