Wow! What a Convention! Stampin’ Up! celebrated their 25th anniversary in style! I was so happy to have the opportunity to go to convention last week. I made the trip out to Salt Lake City with one of my BFFs. We had a blast – hanging out, taking classes, meeting new Stampin’ Up! friends, winning Prize Patrol, swapping and more! It was a whirlwind!
I thought I would show you some of the highlights in this blog post and over the next few weeks I’ll have posts related to specific stamp sets and projects highlighted at convention. But then I started writing the post and it became clear that it would take a few posts just to share with you everything we did while at Convention 2013! So now this will be a several part series regarding Convention itself and over the coming weeks I will showcase projects and products we learned about while in Salt Lake City!
arrived late afternoon on Wednesday, dropped our stuff off at the hotel, had a
quick dinner and then headed to a Make & Take session. Here's a pic of one of the cards we made featuring the hexagon punch and Six Sided Sampler stamp set (available wood mount and clear mount).
Thursday was Day 1 of Convention and we started our day bright and early with an outing to Riverton for a campus tour. Of course on the bus ride we swapped cards and chatted with demonstrators from all over the country!
Once inside we toured the Stampin' Up! museum. There are displays showcasing the history of Stampin' Up! as well as a variety of project samples.
We also got to see the Stampin' Up! warehouse where they ship out all of the orders. Is your order down there??? LOL
In the center of the facility is a wonderful atrium with a water feature -- so relaxing!
We also got to tour the call center - aka demonstrator support. Many of the desks had a varity of projects on display!
My next post in the serious will be about the opening general session and the Convention theme -- stay tuned!
