Over the weekend we surprised my sister with her wedding shower. She had no idea! It was so great to surprise her and celebrate her upcoming wedding with family and friends. For the shower I made 2 cards that I am excited to show you today! I’ve been waiting for the shower to pass to post these cards. I didn’t want to ruin the surprise! Both cards feature the Make A Cake stamp set (available wood mount and clear mount) and Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set (available wood mount and clear mount).
The first card is super simple but elegant. This card was from the flower girls. When using the Make A Cake stamp set the stamp-a-ma-jig makes lining up the cake layers super simple! It is a must have tool for any 2 step stamping.
I used 1 of the punches from the Itty Bitty punch pack for the flowers and I embellished the flowers with a simple basic pearl.
The next card was the card from the bridal party. I CASEd (Copy And Share Everything) from Pinterest. The original design was made by Julie Japes. My overall design is pretty similar to hers however my color scheme is different and includes: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Riding Hood Red and Basic Gray. The patterned paper is from the Twitterpated DSP.
I used the Elegant Butterfly and Bitty Butterfly punches to create the butterfly embellishments. I added a little bling to each butterfly with some basic rhinestones. Got to have bling on a shower card right?? Oh, and don’t you just love the ribbon! It’s the new Two Tone Basic Gray ribbon from the Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog.
Isn't neat how these 2 cards are very different from each other even though I used the same color scheme and stamp sets! Let me know what you think of these 2 very different wedding shower cards!
