Anybody have a wedding to attend in the near future? I do! My sister is getting married in less than 3 months! And I’ve been fooling around trying to create some monochromatic wedding cards. I love the look of a white on white card for a wedding, don’t you? It is clean, pure, and classic. Today I have 2 cards to share with you featuring the monochromatic theme.
Here is my first card.
The card base is Whisper White card stock. I then used the Big Shot and the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder on a Shimmer White card stock panel. The sentiment (from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set – available in wood mount and clear mount) was stamped with Jet Black StazOn on Shimmer White card stock and die cut using the Bitty Banner Framelits. The organza ribbon is wrapped around the embossed panel and the panel was attached to the card base with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I stepped up the second card with some Silver Glimmer Paper. The silver is close enough to white that the card is still considered monochromatic (at least in my opinion - lol).
Both the card base and embossed panel are Whisper White card stock. The embossed flourish was obtained by using the Big Shot and the Elegant Lines Embossing Folder (love this folder! Don’t you!!) I embellished parts of the embossed image with some basic pearls. The sentiment is from one of my favorite stamp sets – I hope Stampin’ Up! doesn’t ever retire it – Sweet Essentials (available in wood mount and clear mount). The embossed panel was attached to the card base with some Stampin’ Dimensionals.
