I love the new Vine Street Embossing Folder. It is one of the offerings in the Sale-A-Bration 2013 brochure. You use this embossing folder along with the Big Shot to dry emboss your card stock and other materials.
For me
I found that this particular folder creates a very deep impression and creases
the card stock when embossing. To fix the creasing issue, I added a piece of
copy paper between the card stock and embossing folder. By doing this you get a
crisp, sharp emboss without the creasing. Each embossing folder and Big Shot is
slightly different so try your embossing out on a scrap paper first and then
use the copy paper trick if you need to :)
Let’s take a look at the cards. I’m using both of these cards for 2 different card swaps in February.
This birthday card uses the Word Play Stamp Set (available in wood mount & clear mount) along with the Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper (SAB 2013 #127540) and Ribbon (SAB 2013 #130812). The Vine Street embossing is on the upper white panel.
This thank you card is just too stinkin’ cute! The stamp set is the new Sale-A-Bration offering Patterned Occasions (available in wood mount & clear mount). I used the debossed Vine Street on this card. The color combination is Pool Party, Whisper White, Tangerine Tango and Rich Razzleberry.
