One of the items that just jumped out at me when I first paged through the new Stampin’ Up! Spring Catalog was the brand new Pinwheel Sizzlits S Die. As soon as I saw it, I had to have it! It is super cute! Plus pinwheels are all the rage right now in the crafting world. They are so happy :)
I used this die along with the Big Shot to make this adorable birthday card.
Love it! Don’t you!
I want to give you some tips for using this die.
- It’s a Sizzlit Die, so it’s small. The finished pinwheel is about 2”x2”
- I tried using this die along with card stock and I found it difficult to bend the card stock to create the pinwheel. I think because of the size of the pinwheel. It was much, much easier to make the pinwheels with designer series paper (Summer Smooches DSP used for the card above)
- I tried fastening the pinwheels with mini brads and standard 3/16” brads. They were much easier to assemble with the 3/16” brads (Brights & Neutral brads used for the card above)
- The die comes with some directions with a couple diagrams. They were helpful as a reference.
To create the card above you will need the following supplies:
Card Stock/paper: Summer Smooches DSP, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Tempting Turquoise
Ink: Tempting Turquoise
Other: Big Shot, Pinwheel Sizzlits S Die, brads, adhesive
