I LOVE the new Pleasant Poppies background stamp (available in wood mount and clear mount) from Stampin’ Up! It was one of my favorite top ten stamp sets from the new 2012-2013 Stampin’ Up! Catalog (you can see my complete list of top ten favorite stamp sets by clicking here for sets 1 – 5 and here for sets 6 – 10). I’m sure you will be seeing many projects in the upcoming months featuring this stamp. Poppies are one of my favorite flowers. There is nothing like a sea of poppies in a garden swaying in the breeze – so beautiful!
Today I have a card to share with you using Pleasant Poppies. It is my first prototype for my Convention swap. The Stampin’ Up! Annual Convention is in 13 days! I can’t wait to go! The convention is in Salt Lake City. One of the things demonstrators do while at convention is swap cards (i.e. trade). This is the prototype for my INKcredible Impressions card swap.
I think l will tweak the design a little bit. I am considering coloring in all of the flowers with the blender pen and Melon Mambo ink instead of just the buds and flower centers. What do you think? Even though this is not the “traditional” poppy color I LOVE this color combo of Melon Mambo, Basic Black and Very Vanilla.
