Are you looking for a fun, bright patterned paper for a birthday party or upcoming spring event? Well I have the paper for you! It is the brand new Stampin’ Up! Summer Smooches designer series paper! This paper will be available on April 1st – here is a sneak peak today!
I have wanted to scrapbook the lyrics to this song for a while now. Have you ever used song lyrics on a scrapbook page before? I love the idea of the song – how your future is unwritten, you choose your path….
"Unwritten" by Natasha Bedingfield
“I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined, I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned, Staring at the blank page before you, Open up the dirty window, Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find.
Reaching for something in the distance, So close you can almost taste it, Release your inhibitions, Feel the rain on your skin, No one else can feel it for you, Only you can let it in, No one else, no one else, Can speak the words on your lips, Drench yourself in words unspoken, Live your life with arms wide open, Today is where your book begins, The rest is still unwritten…..”
I used one of my son’s class photos for the layout and the bright colors of the Summer Smooches DSP just felt exciting, full of hope and fun – perfect for this scrapbook page!
The inspiration for the layout design came from the Got Sketch 107 online scrapbooking class that I am currently taking. My actual layout varies from the original 6 photo sketch….don’t be afraid to change up a sketch to fit your needs and style. I often use a sketch as a starting off point and tweak it to meet my needs.
I’d love to know what songs you have scrapbooked – let me know by sharing your comments below.
Happy scrapping!
Jessica
