Have you heard about these new Big Shot dies called Framelits? They are so cool! They will be debuting on Jan 4, 2012 in the Stampin' Up! Occasions Mini Catalog. Framelits are thin, wafer-like dies that allow you to see where you are placing the die before you cut! So now you can easily die cut stamp images and more! These dies are nestable which means you can create different size frames and layers! I am becoming addicted to these dies!
The Framelits are available in a Hearts Collection and Labels Collection. Today I am going to share with you a card I made with the Labels Collection. The Labels Collection coordinates perfectly with the Apothecary Art stamp set.
The Apothecary Art stamp set contains 6 stamps: 2 sentiments (happiest birthday and so grateful) and 4 labels of varying sizes. I used the largest label stamp on this card. I stamped the image using Staz-On and then, using Blender Pens, I watered colored the flowers using Blushing Bride, Wisteria Wonder, and Pear Pizzazz Classic Inks. After I stamped and colored the image, I cut it out using one of the Label Framelits. I also die cut a larger label to layer the stamped and colored floral image on. To create the embossed image on the card base I used the Framed Tulips Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
What do you think of these new dies? Leave a comment and let me know. The Framelits and Apothecary Art stamp set will be available beginning January 4 and you will be able to order them directly from my website.
Oh I almost forgot to mention, this card will be 1 of the featured projects at my Occasion Mini Kick Off event! Click here to RSVP and for all the details!
Happy scrapping!
