This week the INKredible Impressions Color Combo Challenge features Always Artichoke, Soft Suede, and Elegant Eggplant. Again I used My Digital Studio to create my card for this weekly challenge. What I love about using My Digital Studio to create cards is that I can create the card once but with essentially a click of a button, I can print it out as many times as I need it.
As you can see my dominant color is Always Artichoke and aside from the Soft Suede mat and Very Vanilla card stock I used it for almost all of the paper. All of the stamped images are from the Baroque Motifs stamp set.
I love that flourish background image – don’t you?! On this card I stamped that image in Soft Suede on the Always Artichoke card base. But here is the cool thing – something you couldn’t do with traditional card making with paper --- after I had the digital card done, it seemed like it needed something else. So I added the flourish. First I added it in Always Artichoke but I couldn’t see it well, then I tried it in Elegant Eggplant but I didn’t like it so then I tried the Soft Suede, decreasing the opacity and now the card seems complete to me. If I was making this card by hand, I would have needed to start over since this stamped image was part of the card base. Plus I would have wasted several pieces of paper because I didn’t initially care for the color of the stamped flourish. With the digital version, no waste!
