Every year, like many of you, I spend hours baking a variety of Christmas cookies. This is an annual tradition I really enjoy and my kids love to help me out. My intention was to only make 4 varieties this year – then I looked through my cookbooks and before I knew it, my 4 planned recipes turned into 9. Yes nine, I know, I know I’m crazy. Hey at least I can admit it.
One of the planned cookies was a shortbread cookie using the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamp.
My kids (ok and I) had a great time using the Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamp. They just had a ball! Here are some pictures of them baking away :)
First you have to roll the dough into a ball, about 1.5 inches in diameter. Let’s just say the kids were excited and their cookies were a “little” larger. As you can see even my 3 year old got in on the action.
Then be sure to press down using even pressure – a lot like stamping with ink and paper. If you don’t use even pressure your cookie will be a little lopsided. That really didn’t bother the kids.
Here are the cookies before they went into the oven.
Bake your cookies until the edges just start turning brown. And after they cool on your cooling rack –enjoy! They are super yummy with a cup of coffee!
With your Sweet Pressed Cookie Stamp there are 2 cookie recipes included. We doubled the shortbread recipe. I know we will be making these cookies again sooner rather than later. We had so much fun! And they were easy to make!

Happy scrapping – and baking!
