I thought I would post this on my blog as well. As you guys know a group of us run a great, fun crop weekend called NJ Crop Weekends. Below is a post about one of the swaps happening at the November crop. Check www.njcropweekends.com for more information. And if you would like to attend the crop, there are only 7 spots left. As a secret pal, you will fill out a questionnaire and send it "privately" to Joanie, your Fall Crop Swap Coordinator. She will put all the participants names in a hat and give each person a pal. You will then receive your pal's questionnaire to learn more about her. You may or may not know her, but either way, you’ll want to keep yourself secret!!!
You’ll want to make your secret pal feel very special by giving her gifts before and (especially) during the weekend. You may want to send her a card or 2 beforehand, buy her some scrapping supplies (I think chocolate counts for this, too!!) to give her during the weekend, and don’t forget - hand made gifts are always fun too!! We suggest keeping the total amount of money that you spend around $40. Keep in mind, someone will be giving YOU gifts all weekend, too!!! On Saturday night, we will have a “reveal”, so you can finally introduce and/or reveal yourself to your secret pal as well as find out who your pal was.
To participate, please send a PRIVATE EMAIL at joanie3@hotmail.com no later than October 14. Your secret pal will be given to you on or about October 17. You will receive your pal's questionnaire at that time with her specific details. If you have any questions, please email Joanie at joanie3@hotmail.com. You'll want to be attending the crop at least for Saturday, as Saturday night will be the big reveal.
- We will do our best to match you up with scrappers who have the same package as you (so if you are not at the crop on Friday, your secret pal will also be someone who is not there on Friday)
- Usually people like to get lots of little gifts, as opposed to one big one, but it is up to you how you "give"
- People often save one last gift to give at the Big Reveal
- Be creative & have fun and you'll be sure to leave the crop with a few new friends!!!!
Please make sure you come back to our blog often, as we will be posting reminders and other important crop info, especially as the crop gets closer. If your friends have not visited us yet, you’ll want to tell them to now.
Don’t forget – to join this swap, you need to send a PRIVATE EMAIL to Joanie at joanie3@hotmail.com. You should receive your questionnaire to fill out shortly after you send your email.
