As you guys know I have been itching to scrapbook. The other day I shared with you how when I feel behind I will create a review layout. Another technique I will use to catch up on my scrapbooking backlog is creating mini albums.
This past week I came across an adorable mini lunch box note on the Scrapbook & Cards Today Magazine blog. They used half of a paper lunch bag to create it. When I saw the project I immediately thought it would make a great mini album.
Ok, isn’t it cute?!?? You know it is! And the best part, you can make this is in about an hour using mostly paper scraps!
I used the new Pick Your Poison DSP from the 2011 Holiday Mini Catalog along with a little bit of Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie card stock.
Let’s look at the inside.
Because I used half of a paper lunch bag, it naturally created a pocket. So I made 3 little tags for each section. This allowed me to add 3 more pictures to my mini album. On the back of each tag I added some journaling. You could easily add 3 more photos instead so your mini album would have ten photos – 3 more photos then mine!
So when was the last time you made a 10 photo scrapbook layout in an hour or less??? I know it has been a long time for me – lol !! Now I feel caught up with Halloween from last year and I can move onto the next layout on my long scrapbooking to do list.
Wouldn’t this be an adorable little brag book for grandma? It would work for any topic – birthday, 4th of July, apple picking, breakfast with Santa – really the sky’s the limit! How would you use this mini album? Be sure to leave a comment and let me know.
