Stampin’ Up! offers a very cool decorative items for your home called Décor Elements. The vinyl artwork is perfect for walls, mirrors, windows, or other hard, smooth surfaces. They are easy to apply and with little effort you get stunning results. I have applied them on decorative serving platters, picture frames, flower pots and walls. I have the So Many Toys Décor Elements over the playroom doorway – lol!
Many of the Décor Elements are on the Stampin’ Up! Last Chance Decorative list. When they are gone, they are gone. They work best on flat, smooth surfaces and are not recommended on textured or uneven surfaces, brick or oil based surfaces. Recently I applied the Sporty Surfer Décor Elements to a wall in my kids’ bathroom. It is perfect for the surfer theme we have in that room.
Here are some tips when applying Décor Elements to your surface:
- Be sure to clean and dry your surface before applying your image
- Work slowly, take your time and don’t rush applying the vinyl to your surface
- Make sure the sticky side of the image doesn’t fold on itself
- You can clean your image with a mild soap or detergent and wipe dry
I also created a YouTube video showing the step by step instructions on how to apply Décor Elements to a wall.
After you watch the vide feel free to leave a comment here or on YouTube . I’d love to know what you think of the video.
