New Stampin’ Up! Catalog Sneak Peak: Simply Sketched Stamp Set & new In Colors

In just over 1 week the new Stampin’ Up! catalog for 2013-2014 will be here! Today I have a sneak peak for you featuring the new Simply Sketched Stamp Set (Hostess Set, available wood mount and clear mount) and 2 of the brand new IN Colors: Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding!

 

 

 

I stamped the flower image with Jet Black Stazon ink and then colored in the flower using a blender pen and 2 new In Colors: Crisp Cantaloupe and Pistachio Pudding. The other new In Colors are: Baked Brown Sugar, Costal Cabana, and Strawberry Slush – don’t they sound scrumptious! I used the Big Shot and the Framed Tulip Embossing Folder to create a border on the Crisp Cantaloupe card base.

 

 I love this stamp set! Don’t you?  In addition to the flower there is a sketched bird and a sketched branch plus 3 greetings (happy birthday wishes, thanks so much, and with heartfelt sympathy) for a total of 6 stamps in the set. I have a feeling I will be using this stamp set a lot! Be on the lookout for more projects!

Super Cute Gift Card Holder

Today I have a super cute gift card holder to share with you. I received this project via a recent swap I participated in. This was made by fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Lilly R.

 

 

Here is the box open.

 

Isn’t it cute! This is a versatile project! How great would this be as a graduation gift card holder! I love how she used a brad as a tie tack! Lilly used the Simply Scored to create the box. She created the shirt by using the Big Shot and the Stripes embossing folder on a separate card stock panel then she attached it to the top of the box.

The top-quality photopolymer has just enough give to create a perfectly stamped image every time.  Plus these stamps stick amazingly well to the Stampin’ Up! clear blocks. Today I have a birthday card to card with you featuring the Designer Typeset Photopolymer Stamp Set.

 

 

 

Isn’t it cute! Because the stamps are bendable I was able to swag the pennants. The happy birthday sentiment is from the Wacky Wishes stamp set (hostess 2012-2013 annual catalog, available in wood mount and clear mount).

CASE’d Birthday Card

CASE – Copy And Share Everything!

 

In the world of paper crafting copying another crafters work is the highest form of flattery! We call it CASEing. There is more than 1 way to CASE. You can copy something exactly or just use it as a jumping off point to get your creative juices flowing! Just remember to give credit to the person who inspired you – hey it’s only right :)

 

Today I have a card to share with you that I CASE’d. Actually it is a CASE of a CASE. Let me explain. Every other month I receive a Stampin’ Up! magazine just for demonstrators called Stampin’ Success. A few months back they featured a card that was inspired by a cute little Christmas card on page 202 of the 2012-2013 Annual Catalog. A crafter created a 5”x3.5” For You card in a cool color combination of primarily Summer Starfruit with a little bit of Raspberry Ripple and Early Espresso. I then CASE’d that version and came up with the card below.

 

 

My Birthday Card is very similar in design of the For You card however my card is A2 size (4.25” x 5.5”). My color combination is primarily Primrose Petals with a little bit of Rich Razzleberry and Early Espresso. I love the embossed polka dot panel don’t you? I love embossing with the Big Shot – it may be my favorite paper crafting technique!

Dolled Up Birthday Card Kit

A couple months ago Stampin’ Up! introduced a group of kits called Submit a Project Kits. These kits are designed by Stampin’ Up! demonstrators and customers! How cool is that! The kits were voted on via Stampin’ Up!’s Facebook page and the Dolled Up Birthday Kit is the second kit released.

 

The Dolled-Up Birthday Kit contains everything you need to create 6 cards including the stamp and ink! How cool is that! I fell in love with this vintage inspired birthday card and knew I had to get the kit for myself!  This gorgeous card was created by Chris Gilmore, a manager from Coshocton, Ohio.

 

 

This kit includes the following supplies – all you need to add is the adhesive:

Best Dad Ever Father’s Day Card

Father’s Day is about 6 weeks away! It will be here before we know it! For the April 2013 INKcredible Impressions 1:1 card swap the theme was Father’s Day. I came up with this card featuring the Best Dad Ever (available in wood mount and clear mount) and Clockworks (available in wood mount and clear mount) stamp sets. The Best Dad Ever stamp set is a great little set. Get it while you can – it will be retiring as of June 3, 2013.

 

 

My color scheme for this Father’s Day card is a trendy mix of Stampin’ Up! In Colors: Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit and Whisper White with a little bit of Early Espresso. I used the Color Spritzer Tool (retiring June 3, 2013) with an Early Espresso marker to add some ink spatter. I also used a Stampin’ Spritzer filled with some rubbing alcohol and a few drops of Gumball Green re-inker to add a little bit of green spatter too.
